Dr. Gabriela Vila

Dr. Gabriela Vila is a caring and highly skilled periodontist committed to serving the health care needs of the Tampa Bay community. Not only she contributes with her knowledge, skills and expertise, but also with her warm, caring and energetic personality treating patients like members of her own family.

Dr. Vila conducted her undergraduate education at Florida International University, graduating with honors. She then completed her dental training to earn her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, she developed a strong interest in periodontics and was inducted into the Honors Program in Periodontics and received the AAP Student Award for Outstanding Achievements in Periodontics upon graduation. To further her expertise, Dr. Vila underwent an additional 3 years of specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Florida, where she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences. Furthermore, while at UF, she served as Periodontics Faculty for students at the College of Dentistry.

During her professional career, Dr. Vila has gained strong clinical and surgical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease; including regenerative procedures, dental implant placement, and a range of cosmetic and corrective periodontal procedures. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, which is the highest recognition achievement awarded by the specialty. A distinction held by only 65% of practicing Periodontists. Dr. Vila stays up to date with the latest techniques by attending national conferences in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Being a South Florida native with Hispanic background, Dr. Vila is fluent in both English and Spanish. When out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends; while also keeping active by working out and exploring the outdoors.
